Squints collects nothing. No analytics, no accounts, and no network requests.

It only sees a page when you ask it to. Squints has no standing access to any website: it can run on a page only after you press its toolbar icon or its shortcut there. That is enforced by Chrome’s activeTab permission, not by a promise from us.

What it remembers stays on your machine. Your guides, column grids and presets, the colours and fonts you have picked, and where you docked the toolbar are kept in your browser’s local extension storage. Removing the extension removes them.

What you capture is yours. Screenshots and recordings go to your clipboard or your downloads folder and nowhere else.

This website counts visits. squints.app uses Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data. None of this touches the extension, which still sends nothing.
